I have found that it is very easy to buy into the social media hype train. Easy to get caught up in things that are ultimately trivial, like GamerGate. When I have trouble explaining something to my wife…when I notice that what is coming out of my mouth, when explaining said thing to her, sounds goofy, I know that it is time to step back.
