I grew up in the glow of the 1980s, when the Nintendo Entertainment System was a fixture in my parents’ home. Long afternoons were spent adventuring with Mario, Donkey Kong, and Link. Back then, I didn’t realize I was experiencing the early days of a digital medium. Video games weren’t just entertainment, they offered stories, challenges, and meaningful connections.
I have blogged about video games since the beginning. I am the mighty mighty oak tree that has never fallen. Despite being married; despite having a son that will soon graduate from high school.
Man, I’m old.
At the same time, I have used this blog to explore matters of both faith and life. Never hiding who I am nor trying to be someone else.
- I enjoy a good video game.
- I love a good book.
- I am all about getting to know you.
I’m Bryan Hall, I would like to welcome you to my corner of the internet. I’m glad you’re here.
Pull up a chair.

I dig your story! As one who grew up in a remotely similar experience on the other side of the country (Amish Country, Pennsylvania), I can relate! Looking forward to having many more conversations!
