I could tell I was half awake this morning when I read James 2:1 like this:
“My brothers and sisters, believers in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ must show favoritism.”
Instead of how it was written (emphasis mine):
“My brothers and sisters, believers in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ must NOT show favoritism.”
This could be a long day. . .

Definitely. One of those head and heart disconnect issues.
For me, this verse makes me wonder which sins I favorite above others. Gets me thinking about the whole homosexual debate.

Yeah. That’s why I really dig Ezekiel 16:49. People rag on Sodom for what they think it’s sin was. But this verse says, “Sodom’s sins were pride, gluttony, and laziness, while the poor and needy suffered outside her door.”
